This website exists alongside a book I am currently writing.
The book is called Facts Over Rumors, and it documents what happened when an allegation became a felony charge — despite medical evidence showing it wasn’t true — and how navigating that reality affected my children, my life, and my understanding of the systems meant to protect families.
This is not a story written out of anger.
It is written out of necessity.
Why I’m Writing This Book
When accusations are made, the public often assumes outcomes are simple: guilty or innocent, right or wrong.
The reality is far more complicated.
This book was written because I learned firsthand how:
- Allegations can move faster than evidence
- Systems can act before facts are fully reviewed
- Corrections do not always undo damage
- Parents can be forced into impossible decisions to protect their children
I am writing this book to document that reality — not just for myself, but for others who are quietly going through the same thing.
What the Book Covers
Facts Over Rumors is a firsthand account that includes:
- The allegation and how it unfolded
- The medical evidence that contradicted it
- The legal process and the risks involved
- The role of child services and official findings
- The emotional and psychological toll on children and parents
- The decision-making process families face under extreme pressure
Each section is grounded in documentation, timelines, and lived experience.
This is not a legal textbook.
It is a human record.
How the Book Connects to This Website
This website exists to support and expand on the book.
While the book provides the full narrative, this site offers:
- Documented excerpts and context
- Evidence-based explanations
- Resources for those facing similar situations
- Space for others to understand they are not alone
Together, the book and the site serve a shared purpose:
to slow down narratives and bring facts back into focus.
Who This Book Is For
This book is written for:
- Parents navigating accusations or custody disputes
- Individuals facing allegations despite contradictory evidence
- Professionals who want to understand the human impact of these systems
- Anyone who believes facts should matter before lives are upended
You do not need to agree with every conclusion to recognize the patterns.
Advocacy Through Transparency
Writing this book is not about assigning blame.
It is about transparency.
Advocacy begins when people understand:
- How often these situations occur
- How isolating they can feel
- How difficult it is to explain them to others
- How important documentation and restraint truly are
By sharing this story responsibly, the goal is to help others feel less alone — and to encourage evidence-based decision-making where it matters most.
Current Status
The book is actively being written.
Updates, excerpts, and related resources will be shared here as they become available.
If you are navigating a similar situation, this site — and this book — are here to remind you:
You are not alone, and your experience deserves to be understood with facts, not assumptions.
