A Letter to My Children

 My sweet kids,

One day, when you are older, you may come across this website. I want you to know why it exists — and more importantly, why everything I’ve done has always been for you.

This was never about winning, proving someone wrong, or telling a story for attention. It was about truth, love, and protecting the bond between a father and his children when circumstances made that bond harder to hold onto.

I want you to know that I never stopped loving you for a single moment. Not during confusion, not during silence, not during days I couldn’t be with you the way I wanted. My love didn’t pause. It didn’t weaken. It stayed steady and strong, even when things around us felt uncertain.

If you ever wondered whether I fought hard enough, please know this: every step I took was meant to keep your world as safe, honest, and stable as possible. I chose patience when anger would have been easier. I chose calm when chaos surrounded us. I chose to document the truth instead of letting resentment speak for me.

You never needed to choose sides. You never needed to carry adult problems on your shoulders. My greatest hope has always been that you grow up knowing you were deeply loved by both parents, even when the adults struggled to work together.

No matter what you read, hear, or remember differently, this will always be true:
I showed up. I kept loving you. I kept going — for you.

I am proud of you beyond words. I believe in who you are becoming. And nothing — not time, distance, or misunderstanding — will ever change how much I love you.

Always and forever,
Dad
